Car Parking, Driveways, Garages and Carport

Public spaces must be a minimum 3.2 metres wide. 

Driveways and garages/carports in private homes should allow even greater space for manoeuvring and working on the vehicle. Experience has shown that 4.2 metres is preferable.

Doors should be remote controlled.
A larger door width may be preferred.

Allowance may need to be made for a car top wheelchair carrier, which needs a roof clearance of 2.5 metres.
